What is BPA Free?
Emerald™ Tree-Free™ towels are also BPA free. Bisphenol A (BPA) is a potentially toxic hormone-mimicking chemical used in some plastics and plastic sealants. BPA has also been found in the ink on newspapers and receipts, leading to the presence of BPA in recycled paper products. Emerald Brand Tree-Free™ products are naturally BPA free!
What is Chlorine Free?
Emerald's pulp bleaching process uses Hydrogen Peroxide, a much safer alternative to elemental chlorine gas, making Emerald™ Products Chlorine Free.
What is PFAS Free?
Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) are a group of man-made chemicals that are often used in food packaging. These chemicals don't breakdown and can accumulate in the human body over time and lead to adverse health effects.
What is USDA Biobased?
A USDA Biobased product is identified as a product that is made up of primarily biological or agricultural materials. The USDA label assures consumers that the product contains a USDA-verified amount of renewable biological ingredients.
