Food Production Assistant
GREEN LINE APOTHECARY is hiring a Food Production Assistant to help produce the food and ice cream served at its wellness diners. At the intersection of fun and pharmacy, Green Line carefully crafts its ice cream and other treats that are inspired by the nostalgic soda fountain drugstore era. We are seeking a detail-oriented, hard-working culinary professional with a positive attitude to work alongside our Food Production Manager in our Wakefield RI commissary kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Food Production Manager in food preparation, cooking and cleaning
- Safely operate commercial kitchen equipment including dishwashers, ranges, freezers, ice cream machines
- Operate commercial ice cream making and other kitchen equipment to produce premium ice cream and frozen desserts
- Prepare orders to be distributed to Green Line Apothecary locations and other retail partners
- Adhere to company-developed recipes, processes and cost models using scratch ingredients
- Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in commercial kitchen facility
- Follow all health and safety regulations for food production
- Uphold Green Line Apothecary standards and ideals to deliver high-quality product and customer experience
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of culinary, kitchen or food manufacturing experience preferred
- Experience in commercial kitchen operations, food production, safety and sanitation
- Passion for food as well as working with local and clean ingredients
- Ability to receive instruction, stay on task, and contribute positively to productive work environment
- Ability to use computer, mobile device, and the Google suite of products (Chat, Sheets, Calendar)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work on feet for long periods
- Serv Safe certification preferred
Schedule:
- Tues/Wed/Thurs 9a-2p
- Located at Town Made commercial kitchen in Wakefield RI
