Who owns Green Line Apothecary?

Christina and Ken Procaccianti will continue to own and operate Green Line Apothecary and its affiliated companies. Green Line Apothecary is exiting the retail pharmacy business only.

What is the timeline?

Green Line Apothecary will operate business as usual until December 3rd and 4th 2024. Fill all your medication and shopping needs until those dates.

Our Providence retail pharmacy’s final day of operations will be December 3rd 2024. All patients and prescriptions will be seamlessly transitioned to CVS starting on December 4th. Most patients will be serviced by CVS store #729 on Hope Street in Providence.

Our Wakefield retail pharmacy’s final day of operations will be December 4th 2024. All patients and prescriptions will be seamlessly transitioned to CVS starting on December 5th. Most patients will be serviced by CVS store #2065 on Main Street in Wakefield.

Our Wakefield store and fountain will remain open December 5th to December 20th, Mon-Fri 10am-4pm. Join us for our Holiday Hoorah as we ring in the season and show our gratitude to our community. Please note that no retail pharmacy services will be available after December 4th 2024.

The Wakefield store’s final day of business will be December 20th, or while supplies last.

What is being transferred to CVS?

CVS has acquired the retail prescription files of our two Rhode Island pharmacies. If you are affected, you will be able to fill your prescriptions at any CVS location convenient to you. CVS will have all of your prescription information and they will be prepared to assist you with your future medication needs. Call or visit your local CVS.

How do I know if my prescriptions are affected?

If you fill conventional prescriptions, not from our Green Line Supply med packing service, your prescriptions will be transferred to CVS.

I am a patient of Green Line Supply. Am I affected?

If you are a patient of our Green Line Supply medication packing practice, you are unaffected. Green Line Supply will continue to be your pharmacy. Service will not be interrupted.

I am PACE participant. Am I affected?

No, your medication service will not be interrupted. In fact, Green Line Supply is relocating to PACE RI’s East Providence headquarters in 2025 where we will work along your medical teams to provide you with top notch pharmacy services.

We are excited to work alongside your doctors and care team at PACE!

I love your ice cream! Will I still be able to get it?

Yes! Our ice cream by the pint is available at a growing list of retailers and grocery stores. Click here to find a store near you.

Tell your local grocer that you would like them to carry Green Line Apothecary ice cream. They can reach us at wholesale@greenlineapothecary.com.

Our Wakefield fountain will be open until December 20th, or while supplies last. Stop by and stock up!

What about the shakes, floats, and delicious food I have been enjoying at your fountain?

We will be exploring new and fun ways to roll out The Fizz, our wellness diner concept, to new venues. If you are interested in collaborating, email info@greenlineapothecary.com.

And, visit us in Wakefield until December 20th to enjoy our fountain classics during our Holiday Hoorah!

Will I still be able to buy other Green Line products?

Yes! Shop right here on greenlineapothecary.com! Shipping is available nationwide.

What is happening to your Wakefield building?

Our 245 Main Street Wakefield building will be available in the new year. Interested parties may email info@greenlineapothecary.com

Will your Providence building also be available?

We have plans to redevelop the property into a mixed-use residential and commercial building that will help energize the neighborhood.

How are your staff being taken care of during this transition?

Many of our team members will be staying on with Green Line to work in our other businesses. For employees of our retail pharmacies, we have facilitated interviews for job opportunities at CVS. As a growing small business, Green Line has provided its employees with benefits including health insurance and paid time off. Employees will be able to rely on these benefits to ease their transition.

What are you up to next?
