Family Practitioner


Green Line Express, the newly-formed medical clinic within Green Line Apothecary, is adding Family Nurse Practitioners and/or Physician Assistants to its team.  NPs/PAs will deliver evidence-based care at our retail healthcare clinic in Wakefield, Rhode Island.

Working in supportive collaboration with Green Line leadership and pharmacy staff, NPs/PAs will have the opportunity to place their imprint on our new retail healthcare practice - identifying opportunities to improve outcomes for new and existing Green Line patients while also expanding access to healthcare services in our community.


  • Flourish in the autonomy to build, grow and optimize the practice
  • Deliver on the ideals, values and highest standards of care upheld by Green Line in a high-volume retail setting
  • Provide Primary and Family evidenced-based care inclusive of accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning for our patients
  • Provide administrative duties to include but not limited to opening/closing the clinic, inventory, patient follow up, verifying insurance and collecting payment, maintaining a clean environment
  • Be responsible for handling patient appointments and performing routing examinations to ensure positive patient health outcomes
  • Perform duties including speaking with patients about healthy lifestyle choices, completing diagnostic tests to help diagnose and treat patients for injuries or illnesses and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to maintain a comprehensive plan of care
  • Encourage patients to become active participants in their own healthcare and well-being through services such as health screenings, behavioral health and wellness, chronic condition management
  • Collaborate with pharmacy staff to identify care opportunities for prescription filling patients
  • Administer vaccinations and provide evidence-based vaccine counseling

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in good standing without restrictions
  • Minimum three years of relevant patient care experience
  • Superb customer service instincts and track record of exceeding patient expectations
  • Skillful communicator and demonstrated ability to connect with patients, colleagues, fellow practitioners, and management
  • Expert clinical knowledge
  • Knowledge of natural, homeopathic, and herbal medicine
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including but not limited to performing CPR and operating an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Ability to work without direct supervision and practice autonomously


  • Full-time and part-time positions available to staff the clinic during operating hours: M-F 8:30am-1:30pm / 2:30pm-6:30pm; Sa-Su 9am-12pm
